Advantages and disadvantages of pneumatic tools

Publish Time: 2021-11-04     Origin: Site

Advantages of pneumatic tools:

(1) Air is used as the working medium of pneumatic transmission. It is inexhaustible and convenient to source. After use, it is directly discharged into the atmosphere without polluting the environment.

(2) Good adaptability to the working environment. In harsh environments such as flammable, explosive, dusty, radiation, strong magnetism, vibration, and shock, the pneumatic transmission system is safe and reliable.

(3). The air viscosity is small and the flow resistance is small, which is convenient for the centralized supply of the medium and the long-distance transportation.

(4). Pneumatic control has rapid action and quick response, which can reach the required pressure and speed in a short time.

(5). Pneumatic components have simple structure, easy processing, long service life, high reliability, and easy realization of standardization, serialization and generalization.

Disadvantages of pneumatic tools:

Of course, since the pneumatic technology used in pneumatic tools uses compressed air as the working medium, there are bound to be some shortcomings:

(1) Due to the large air compressibility, the movement speed of the cylinder is easy to change with the change of the applied load, and the stability is poor, which has a great influence on the position and speed control.

(2) The pressure level of the current pneumatic system (generally less than 0.8MPa) is not high, and the total output force is not large.

(3) The working medium (air) has no lubricity, so measures must be taken in the system to lubricate the oil.

(4), the noise is large, generally need to install a muffler.

Common fault handling

Motor does not turn

1. The motor part is mixed with debris; 2. The bearing is damaged; 3. The spindle is rusted and damaged; 4. The blade is worn; 5. Insufficient pressure; 6. Remove debris; 7. Replace the bearing; 8. Replace the spindle; 9. Replace Blade; 10. Check the pipeline;

stop breath (exhaust only, no rotation, no blow):

1. Lack of butter; 2. Damaged parts of the striking part; 3. Worn and worn front cover; 4. Poor design; 5. Replacement of new butter; 6. Replacement of impact parts; 7. Replacement of front cover; 8. Replacement of new products

Spindle speed is slow:

1. The air pressure is too low; 2. The position of the forward and reverse rod or the speed rod is wrong; 3. The oil is not enough; 4. The fan blades and the cylinder rear cover are rusted and worn; 5. The lock nut is rusted; 6. Adjust the air pressure; 7. Confirm the position; 8. Refuel; 9. Decompose and refurbish; 10. Disconnect and unlock tightly;

Insufficient strength of the strike department:

1. The parts of the striking part are worn; 2. The grease is lacking; 3. The front cover is worn; 4. The impact parts are replaced; 5. The grease is replaced; 6. The front cover is replaced;

Returning non-stop:

1. There is debris on the switch valve; 2. The spring is short cracked; 3. The switch valve is deformed; 4. The debris is removed; 5. New spring; 6. New switch valve;

Air leak:

1. Air leakage at the air inlet; 2. Air leakage from the governor lever; 3. Air leakage from the switch valve; 4. Air leakage from the exhaust port; 5. Replace the new head; 6. Replace the O-ring; 7. Replace the O-ring ; 8. Change the O-ring or remove the debris on the switch valve;

Maintenance of pneumatic tools is better than maintenance. Operators develop the habit of maintenance, and their service life is greatly improved. Most of the problems I have encountered since working on pneumatic tools are not maintaining the tools or lack of maintenance knowledge, resulting in the tools not working Even damaged. Add 3 to 4 drops of special pneumatic maintenance oil (sewing machine oil) from the tool air inlet before and after each use of the tool to reduce wear and prolong the service life of the tool; install a dripper on the air supply source to ensure that the air source for the supply tool is dry , No impurities; regular cleaning, refueling and maintenance, adjusting proper working air pressure, and timely replacement of worn parts; when tools are not used, anti-rust oil should be applied and the air inlet and other exposed holes should be blocked to prevent dirt from entering the tool;

The tools should be regularly inspected for safety. The specific items to be inspected mainly include:

(A) The air supply hose and the joint should be connected reliably, and no air leakage should be allowed: the air inlet valve should be well sealed, the switch should be flexible, and the entire air circuit should be sealed without air leakage.

(B) The gas supply pipeline should be intact. If there are defects such as wear, aging, corrosion, and local leakage or bulging, it should be replaced immediately.

(C) Check the protective device, and replace it in time if it is worn, cracked, or bent.

(D) Check whether the working parts are in good condition, if there are cracks or defects, they should be replaced immediately.

(E) Check whether the running speed and condition of the tool are good. Rotary tools should ensure that they are in a good balance when rotating, and impact tools should ensure that their anti-loosening fastening devices are always intact.
